Home Celebrate the Graduates Dominique LaCroix

Dominique, you’ve grown so much in your time at TKC and it’s been great to have you in several of my classes. You ask good questions and I appreciate your interest in doing theology for the benefit of your discipleship. When you’ve understood – as you have – that ‘theology is for doxology’ you’re on the right track! All the best with your big year ahead, we’ll miss you in the RTS program!

Notes for Dominique

Dom, you have been a gift to King’s and the House of Barton! It has been a privilege to see your growth from freshman year until now. Your love for Jesus is genuine and your desire to glorify Him with your life is commendable. I am so excited to see all the wonderful plans God has in store for you and Zach! I look forward to cheering for you on Saturday and beyond. May God surprise you in the best way during this new chapter of life–wishing you all the best!

“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33)

Congratulations, Dommie! I love the way you loved your time at TKC. From bringing a home-cooked meal to the library table to pouring into Refuge to hosting dance parties in the Stetson, you brought so much energy and excitement to this school. You make places feel like home, and King’s is better for having had you in it. Well done on an excellent accomplishment — you got the most out of it, and the best is yet to come!

Congratulations, Dom!

You have an exciting life ahead, and I know you will be such a witness to the kingdom of God in every place you go and friendship you make. It was such a pleasure to be your Barton sister (and is because once a Barton, always a Barton!).

Best of luck in your future journeys!

Congrats! You have such a special heart for the people around you and invest so well in their lives.
So proud of you and looking forward to what He has ahead for you.

Danise

Dear Dominique,

It’s been a pleasure taking several classes with you over the last four years. Congratulations on your recent engagement! I wish you the best of luck in all your future endeavours.

Congratulations Dom!! I am so happy and excited for you. I’m glad that we got to know each other during your early days at Kings, and I’m happy that you could intern at Tailwind and share those experiences—and of course I can’t wait for the next phase of you as a Moeller!
You have a brilliant mind and a loving heart and a super sense of humor. Congratulations on finishing this phase of life!!

Congratulations! Looking forward to the weekend’s activities with you. College graduation is a wonderful accomplishment. We are proud of you.

Dear Mrs. Lamoeller,

I’m so glad to have met you this year. You are so quiet and kind, and so wise about navigating relationships. I’ll be so sad to see you leave King’s and be parted from you forever. The Lord may be guiding us apart, but never forget that Petr loves and will always be there when you need him. If you ever get the chance, come back to the city and have a drink of watr with me…or a bite of butr.

Dominique,

When you were very young, I told you that the great thing about books is that you could go anywhere with it in so many ways. Several years later I asked you why you liked reading so much and you told me, in your words, about books taking you on a journey.
And they did!
I am so proud of you and so happy for you.
Love always,
Dad

DOM! I look up to you in so many ways but I am always impressed by your wisdom and love! I cannot express how sad I am that you are graduating, but how happy I am that I got to be here this year with you! Enjoy post-undergraduate life, married life, and life in general!

Dommie,
I love you with my whole heart. Thanks for living with me through thick and thin–from broken couches to bunk beds to air mattresses. Thank you for always committing to real love, for challenging me, encouraging me, and caring for me. I am very proud of what you have accomplished. You are one of the wisest people I know. xoxox
Can’t wait to critique marketing with you till the new heavens and new earth come (maybe we can even do it there too, although there’s probably no critiquing necessary!)

Dom, you probably the first person I looked up to at King’s, and I can’t believe it’s your time to leave. So glad we get to share in this next awesome phase together, and I hope it only continues to bring us closer together as we pray for one another. God has such great plans for you, and he has already grown you so far and so beautifully. Congrats!! (not crying!)

Dear Dom:

Mission accomplished!!!

We are excited to share in this momentous occasion and are very proud of your accomplishment, way to go! We were glad to be part of your journey and enjoyed our adventures with you in NYC. We especially enjoyed getting to know your friends, what a great group of folks! No doubt they will be friends for life, particularly Zachary…. 🙂

We look forward to the next new exciting chapter of you life. You have tremendous potential and will no doubt make a positive impact on whatever you undertake.

Psalm 32:8
I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.

Psalm 138:8
The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.
