Notes for Emily

Emily thanks for serving your house so faithfully this year on the Council! I was going to make the joke about you not packing your keys in your Wednesday bag but you already made it on my page so oh well.

This year as I’ve seen you work on behalf of the House of Truth, I’ve been so impressed. You’re one of the most mindful and perceptive leaders I know. It’s clear to anyone who watches you work that you don’t lead because you have visions of grandeur, but your humility and desire to share in the burdens of those whom you serve is evident. Keep bringing that perspective to any group that you are a part of!

Congratulations, Emily! You are such a star—writing your own book of poetry in college?!?! Are you kidding?!?!

Apart from that, I am so excited to be your roommate and be a cat parent with you. You are so kind and loving and intentional with everyone you meet and I know I’m speaking on behalf of soooo many people when I say that I feel lucky to know you. Cannot wait for all of the fun ahead! You’re going to be amazing (because you are already amazing)!

Emily! You are such a strong, gracious woman. You had a disruptive college experience, but you navigated Zoom and unpredictability with elegance and joy. Your desire to serve and lift up others is a blessing to all who are lucky enough to know you. Congratulations on completing your degree, publishing your first book of poetry, and stepping up to lead the House of Truth as president during your senior year. You’re an inspiration, and I’m so proud to be your big. Onwards and upwards, sweet girl!

I am so proud of you and so glad to know you. I can’t wait to see you do big things, but don’t forget to enjoy the little things along the way! Take the road that makes you happy, I’m so excited for you and CONGRATULATIONS!

Dear Emily
I’m so proud of all you’ve accomplished these challenging four years ! One of the sweetest gifts of graduation is to be able to have time to read for FUN again 🙂

“For everything there is a season
A time for meeting
A time to say goodbye
In all things God is near
Always guiding your way.

May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your fields
And until we meet again
May you keep safe in the gentle loving arms of God”
~ from a traditional Irish Blessing

Much Love Always,
Your Nana (and Papa cheering you from Heaven)

Emily,
I’m so thankful to have gotten to work with you this year and have you as the best house president I could ask for. I’m so thankful for you. Love you so much and cannot wait to see all the amazing things you do!

Dearest Emily, congratulations! You are such a beautiful, kind, and talented person. It has been an honor getting to know you over the semester. You emanate the light of Christ. Keep writing, and keep shining! Godspeed.

Literally could not be PROUDER of you!!! Beyond grateful to have you in the dynasty and forever proud of your gentle wisdom and strong leadership. I cannot wait to see what the next year brings for you!!

A President, a writer, a poet, an amazing woman all around, Em you’re fantastic! I’m so so proud of you. To be a senior is one thing, to be a senior and serve your house as president is a whole other, selfless, amazing thing (I would know haha) so excited for your future and I think of you often as well my friend. Love you!

Dearest Emily,

Congrats, sweet friend! We’ve come a long way from women’s soccer our freshman year. 😀 I’m so thankful for you and the time we’ve spent in NYC, whether it’s getting Magnolia and Laudree or playing games in your apartment. You are wise beyond your years and truly a blessing in my life. I can’t wait to see where God leads you and Jack in this next season. Keep in touch and keep leaning on The Lord for strength and guidance.

All the best,
Kaitlyn

I wish I could spend this sweet day with you, my Twin Little! You are a wonderful symbol of resilience and resolve. I am so honored that I have gotten to be a part of your life, both near and far. What a woman!
Always yours,
Hannah Hair

Emily,
I already word vomit love and encouragement on you all the time, so there are not many words left to say. (And you know how much I LOVE to say words) I am so grateful to call you my friend. You have taught me so much in this friendship. You are the one to push me to get out of my comfort zone, I mean you convinced me to run for exec!!! You are one of my favorite people. I’m grateful for you. Congratulations!!!!

Dearest Emily,

You did it 😃

I am so amazed at the deep, beautiful woman you have become and will continue to become ❤️

Keep listening, keep dreaming.
God has beautiful, purposeful, vibrant plans for your life.
LOVE YOU!

I always thought of you as a kindred spirit whether it be barreling down the soccer field or frantically editing writing submissions for Interregnum. And with your perceptiveness and ambition, I’m sure you will find that though you leave King’s (in all its pain and glory) behind the lessons you learned will carry you along to bigger and better achievements. I’m cheering you on!

Dear Emily,

I’m so glad we got to catch up at Albee this year so that the immediate impression of your growth in grace and beauty over your college career could be left on my soul. Please stay in touch! If you’re in the City this summer, I’d love to see you.

Emily,

This is a great time in your life and it’s beautiful to observe all the accolades you receive. The time that you shared with us on the pitch was phenomenal and I never forget it and thank you for it. I wanted to express a sincere word of Congratulations and I trust that the Lord will rain His blessings upon all of your endeavors.

Congratulations & God Bless You

Bracey

Emily, I am so glad to know a sliver of the richness and beauty and strength of your soul. You are such a talented individual, but you also live your life as a leader and give your time, attention, and care to others. Because of this, I know you will thrive in whatever you do, but your unique calling in this phase of grad school could not be more perfect for you. You can’t do life alone, and I’m so thankful for that fact because it brought me you! I am so, so proud of you. Congrats love!

Emily! May Champs forever fill us! You have served the House wonderfully! It has been wonderful to get to know you!

Well, you’ve done it. You’ve graduated. Well done! (I wanted to say congradulations but idk how to spell it and spell check isn’t helping…… I’m dyslexic ok?).

I’m not completely sure what to say, but you’re a great roommate and an even better friend. Living with you was one of the greatest things. I’m miss you a lot, but you’ll still be close by.

Anyway, I’ll let you know if I even need to go to TJ Max again.

See you around, my fellow Northern….. person
