Notes for Emlee

One of the greatest blessings of this past year was getting to know you better! Your heart for service is a rare quality and I know that the Lord will use you in a powerful way in post-grad life. Thank you for serving QE1 and the women of King’s with such dedication–you have left your stamp on our community! I will miss our very random and very long talks (mixed w/ lots of laughter!) around the halls of King’s 🙂 Your love and support have been a gift to me and I look forward to the years of friendship that lay ahead. Cheering you on, girly! May God surprise you in the best way during this new chapter of life–wishing you all the best! Love you!

“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33)

QE1’s first year of Prayer Group will always hold a special place in my heart <3

Emlee, you have become one of my dearest friends. I’m so excited to graduate with you and to see the shape your future takes. It’s gonna be a bright one. 💗 Congratulations on everything!

Dear Emlee,
I am so grateful that I have gotten to know you. I had so much fun working with you on our group project for The Fantasy and Science Fiction of C.S. Lewis. We totally deserve a book deal for that eighth Narnia chronicle. I was so wowed by the beautiful cover and presentation you designed for it.

It has been still more wonderful getting to know you in person and seeing the way you serve the community at King’s. I am pretty sure that every time I decide to study in the lion’s den it’s because I have a lurking subconscious hope that I will get to experience one of your passionate discussions of the state of evangelicalism in America. You do so much more than just critique the failings of the church though. You actively build up the body of Christ. The Women’s Wisdom Nights you hosted were always such a refreshing time to gather together. They are a legacy that those of us left behind will continue to enjoy hopefully long into the future. Everything you do comes from a place of love for both God and the church. I am so excited to see the ways God will use this love over the coming years. You are a gem, and I will miss your presence at King’s.

Emlee, it’s been so awesome getting to know you over these years and especially serving together for the women at King’s this last year. Love your heart and your love for others. Can’t wait to see what’s next in these first years after King’s!

MISS EMLEE, CONGRATULATIONS! I am so so so freaking proud of you. Your dedication to Jesus, people, and this school is commendable! Thank you for being a guiding light this semester. I look forward to hearing all about your seminary adventures this summer!

Emlee! So, so proud of you sweet girl! You are already on your way to doing great things, and I’m so excited to see how your love and service touches the world around you!

Emlee-Kate! Thanks for being sincere and dedicated friend. You were among the first to offer me a branch of friendship and we watched it grow into a tree of faith and trust. You inspired me to rely more on God and allow Him to grow me. Through long talks and coffee breaks, we discussed God, important issues, and reflected on the challenges of this world. I can’t wait to hear about how you touch souls in ministry, just as you were able to inspire this one. Cheers!

Emlee!!! I’m so happy for you as you enter this next chapter of life! I treasure our friendship and can’t wait to see how God leads you in the future! You are an amazing, kind, witty, and clever woman who is going to change lives!

Dear Emlee,

Congratulations on your graduation, my friend! I’m thankful our paths crossed over these years of classes, and I have no doubt your fierce mind and kind heart will lead you on the next step.

All the best,
Elaina

Dear, sweet Emlee, thank you for being an advocate for the good and wholesome. I will never forget freshman year when you unknowingly adopted me in as one of your QE1 babies, and we ran from chickfila to greenwich in a hurricane. What a welcome to New York! Thank you for your authenticity and kindness. Texas is lucky to have you (at least for now)!! Congrats!

Emlee,

So glad we went to go see Endgame instead of dropping $70 on spring formal back in 2019. You’ve been one of my best friends and classmates ever since then. Always a joy to see, and I hope I’ll continue to see you around Mission City when you can visit.

Congrats!! Thanks for being such an amazing Spiritual Life Associate these past two years! I’m so excited to see you following the path that God has laid out for you! đź’ś

Congratulations, Emlee, upon your graduation from King’s! Thank you for heart for the Lord and for serving others!

Emlee! So thankful we’ve gotten to take the fun Brand and Bradley electives together. Your love and care for QE1s could not be more clear through your service as SLA. Excited to hear about this fellowship in TX and see how God continues to use you to draw others towards yourself.

Emlee! Where to start? I am so incredibly grateful that we have become friends. From my first year when you were my helmsman and we bonded during house retreat, to when we were somewhat forced to become besties starting Fall 2020, to FaceTiming you from England until my phone inevitably died, I can’t imagine my college experience without you. You are one of the kindest, funniest, most encouraging, intelligent, joyful, caring people I know. Congratulations on graduating! You have already done so many incredible things and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for you! I love you!
