Notes for Zachary

How can this possibly be that time has passed so quickly. I am so proud to know you and to have watch you grow up seemingly in my midst.

Zach, congrats to you! I teased you the other day about your “business casual” hats, but honestly it was a joy having you in class. In every way, you’ve made King’s a better place. You have such a sunny disposition that brightens the room whenever you walk in. Let me say again: your paper in Comparative Government was superb–and your comments in class elevated class discussion. Can’t wait to hear about your adventures! All the best.

There are probably so many things that you do at King’s that I’ve never had the chance to see but from the interactions we’ve had, I’ve been so impressed with your maturity, professionalism, and work ethic!
Thank you for always making King’s look its best. It was such a pleasure to work with you!

Jeremiah 29:11

Zach thanks for being such a phenomenal friend these last couple years. You’re an incredible listener and an even better giver of hugs. I’m so excited for you and Dom to begin your lives together and I’m looking forward to celebrating with you in a few short weeks.

Zach, it seems like only yesterday you were starting college, and now it’s over! I hope you have a fun time celebrating on Saturday and I wish you all the best in the years to come.

Congratulations Zach! I’m so proud of you and all the hard work you’ve put in these last few years. What a great accomplishment! I’m sure you will do great things! Love you!

Congratulations Zach, we are so proud of you. It seems like you have grown up so quickly before our eyes. You have accomplished so much and we know there is a lot more to come and now a whole new world with Dom. Love you

Zach- The Lord has blessed you and you’ve worked hard to complete college. So many classes, real tough exams, late night theme papers, grueling sports practices and games. (And you still had time to get to know and fall in love with Dommie!) But life will likely throw at you even more hassles (not Dom) than these. You’ll only do well as you continue to trust in the Lord. He provides, He guides, He loves. Keep on trusting!

Congratulations on your graduation from college. We are very proud of you and the young man you have become. You have grown up so fast! May God Bless you as you begin a new stage in your life…a new job and an upcoming marriage! Our love to both you and Dom.

Zach! Congrats! You did an excellent job at King’s, and it was so fun to become friends along the way. I’m so excited for your post-grad life, marriage to the one-and-only Dominique, and the ways you’ll continue to point the world to Jesus. Onwards and upwards!

Zach! I’ve loved getting to know you so much this year and my heart is heavy by the prospect of being unable to continue that. You have contributed so much to my spiritual growth and I think you for that.

Zach! I fondly remember taking APTAP I with you, as well as a handful of other iconic courses. I wish you the best with the exciting future you have ahead of you. Godspeed!

Oooh Zach, you were expecting this weren’t you? Nonetheless, here I am. I can’t help but mourn the loss of my nemesis. Does that mean I won? I trust that I can nurture the school alone, and I trust that you will take care of my dearest Dominique. Don’t go too far, but wherever you go, I won’t be far behind. CONGRATULATIONS😃

Love you tons Zach! I’m so proud of all that you have learned and your academic accomplishments! You have stretched yourself and tried new things. You’ve invested your heart in others. I’m glad most of all at how you have grown spiritually. It’s a joy to see you walk with God and rely on Jesus. I’m looking forward to all that comes next!
Oh! I’d also like to point out that somewhere deep down, you’ll always be this guy to me!

Congratulations Zach! We are so proud of you and all you have accomplished! It has been such an honor watching you grow up into a compassionate, thoughtful, and caring young man. In your next chapter of life, keep chasing the dreams the Lord has given you and never stop letting love lead you. May the Lord bless you and be gracious to you as you graduate college.

I am so proud of you and am so excited to spend time with you. So excited for you and Dom to start the next chapter of your lives.
I shall acquire the pic attached above and make it your contact photo!
All the best

Zach, I remember taking this picture as if it were yesterday. Your mom, you, and I went to a really cool park. You were rode the carousel. You ate applesauce, but we forgot the spoon so we had to make the lid into a spoon. You also enjoyed a baked sweet potato. In my mind I think I will always see you as this guy. The one who came first and made my heart smile. I think the world and King’s also sees this guy— Inquisitive, brave, and full of joy. You have been making this world a better place since March 4, 2000. Thank you for loving Michael and setting an example. So proud of you! Continue loving Jesus and others.
Graduate, make us proud!

Congratulations on your academic accomplishments. It is amazing what you have earned. Zach, I’m very proud of you. This past summer in VA, I saw that my nephew was no longer a boy but a man. I see so many great qualities in you. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control…”. As a believer, keep bearing that fruit. I’m excited to see how God will use you in the future. Continue to keep your eyes fixed on him. In the picture, we were a wrestling trio called the three amigos. With the big changes that are occurring in your life – Graduation, new job, getting married and starting your new family- I’m officially announcing to the nation that the 3 amigos are officially retiring. I was going to post another picture but I’m limited to one. The other picture shows a man (you) and his love for Jesus. This moment really swelled up my heart because you took the time not only to spend time with Jesus but you had Michael worshipping Jesus with you. I love you and are so excited for you!

Congrats, Zach! Just by sitting in on Hebrew class this semester, your hard work and dedication was very evident. I know those qualities will take you far in post-grad life and I look forward to seeing what you and Dom accomplish together! May God surprise you in the best way during this new chapter of life–wishing you all the best! (p.s. I am loving all of the above baby pics! 🙂 )

“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33)

Congratulations, I am so happy for you.

May the LORD bless you and keep you; The LORD make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.

Matthew 6:19-21 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth,… But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven,…For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Zach you have been faithful with what you’ve been given, so you will be put in charge of much. It has been a privilege to share life with you these past years, and see you grow and invest in things that matter for eternity! I’m claiming Prov 22:29 and Gal 6:9 for you brother!

I am glad to see through, snap shots, your continued growth as a person over the last four years. I am glad to see that The House of Sir Winston Churchill continues to have excellent men such as yourself who put time and effort into developing their character.

Mr. Moeller, honestly couldn’t have done it without you man. Thanks for encouraging me in my academics and my faith.

Zach, I’m genuinely grateful for your friendship and to have gotten to know you better over this past year. Thanks for encouraging me to seek out opportunities to put others first!

Zach, you have worked hard to get educated over the past few years. As a result you have gained a solid education in the most important ideas that have shaped our civilization. You also have learned how to communicate and discuss these ideas well. I am very thankful that you have had this opportunity and applied yourself with enthusiasm and excellence to your studies. Most importantly I am very grateful for how you have grown closer to Jesus while at King’s. May God continue to guide you and bless you as you embark on your next phase of life.

Congratulations for completing your college degree and 2 days later starting a job. What an accomplishment. It reveals what an ambitious and determined individual that you have grown up to be. We wish much success to you, always.

Zach, you’ve been a force for Chrsit-likeness wherever you go. Dr. Tubbs and I missed your presence in Public Policy this semester. Glad we got to shovel snow together and bond over BaristaParlor Your absence will ripple throughout campus next year. Wishing you and Dom the best in this next season.

Congratulations Zach. You are a fantastic person and a humble follower of Jesus. He will lead you in this next season of life. And don’t stop playing guitar!

Zach, how did you go so quickly from being a little baby to being a King’s alumnus?! It’s been my joy to see you grow over these past 20 years into a man of impeccable character and conviction. I will really miss having you in the King’s community – but rejoice in all the good that has come to, and through, you these past four years.
